Syncing culture, sound, and cinema.

For the past 10 years I have been trying to put forward the idea of creating a blog that highlights music and film. Two mediums that have become prominent features in my life, I thought it was time to finally give the world my perspective. But not just any music, I’m talking about Hip-Hop. This genre has been etched into my brain since I was 4 years old singing Outkast’s Me & You and Jay-Z’s Hard Knock Life. Precious innocent moments that still continue to drive me to debate about your favorite rapper.

If music is my medicine, film is the blanket that keeps me warm. I don’t know life without film and being born in the early 90’s, my life revolved around the now antiquated VHS. Did you know the Titanic was so long it came with two (that’s right) VHS tapes? I remember having to rewind the tape, eject and pop in part 2 which started right when the ship hit the iceberg. My favorite movie growing up was Interview with the Vampire and while I am a fan of horror, I promise not to review only horror films (pinky promise).

With love,

Kay
